Caravan Mattress 130×200 cm

Travelling well-rested in a caravan or motorhome isn’t just a matter of comfort: avoiding tiredness at the wheel is also a matter of safety. That’s why you shouldn’t compromise when choosing a 130×200 cm caravan mattress. The BODYGUARD® Anti-Kartell-Matratze® is designed so that different people can lie ergonomically on it in various sleeping positions.

  • Ergonomic support: The ergonomic modules relieve pressure and support your body at the same time. Enjoy targeted relaxation from head to toe.
  • Two firmness levels: With every BODYGUARD® mattress, you can choose between two firmness levels. Simply flip it over to use the softer or firmer side.
  • 100-night trial: Take your time to test your mattress and give your body time to get used to the new sleeping experience.
  • Good air circulation: The QXSchaum® mattress foam core effectively absorbs moisture and quickly releases it back into the air. This is ideal for preventing mould, particularly in caravans.

For caravans and motorhomes, you often need non-standard shapes that aren’t quite rectangular. You might need to cut out a section for the wheel arch, or one or two corners might need to be slightly bevelled to fit the bodywork. In such cases, made-to-measure mattresses are ideal, or you can cut the foam core to size yourself using a hot wire. Please note, however, that your right to a guarantee expires as soon as you make the first cut. With a bespoke order, however, you waive your right of cancellation and return – and often your guarantee as well – from the outset.

For Frequent Transport: 130×200 cm Folding Mattress

Do you want to transport your mattress regularly or store it away to save space? Then a 130×200 cm folding mattress could be a really practical solution for you. The 130×200 cm folding mattress can accommodate one or even two people. Depending on how it is folded, a 130×200 cm folding mattress can be reduced to a folded size of 66×130 cm – depending on whether the mattress can be folded once or twice to form a sort of two-seater. Density also plays a crucial role in ease of transport: the lighter the mattress, the easier it is to handle. This also applies to non-folding mattresses, such as the lightweight, ergonomic BODYGUARD® Anti-Kartell-Matratze® 130×200 cm. Folding mattresses do, however, have one drawback: the division into individual segments can compromise your comfort whilst lying on it. This happens particularly when the joints become worn over time or the fabric cover starts to crack at the folds.

130×200 cm Mattress – a Comfortable Width

A mattress measuring 120×200 cm or larger is generally considered a comfortable size for one person. A 130×200 cm mattress offers you a further 10 cm in width. This brings a number of advantages in everyday life:

  • More freedom of movement to change your sleeping position
  • Space to stretch out your arms and legs
  • Room for overnight guests
  • Space for your pet

What are the Drawbacks of a 130×200 cm Mattress?

Finding the right 130×200 cm mattress can be more difficult. The reason: this size is rather rare – it’s often only available as a made-to-measure option. With beds and mattresses in the neighbouring standard size of 140×200 cm, your choice is immediately much wider. Once you’ve found the right 130×200 cm mattress, it’s time to look for the accessories: these can sometimes be even harder to find than the mattress itself. When it comes to mattress toppers and sheets, many people have no choice but to opt for the neighbouring sizes; however, in that case, toppers or incontinence pads either don’t cover the entire sleeping surface or hang over the edge unattractively. With sheets, a size that’s too small might simply slip off, whilst the next size up might hang loosely and unattractively over your mattress. The BODYGUARD® Jersey Fitted Sheet 120×200 cm, with a sufficient elastane content and generous side height, is well suited to most 130×200 cm mattresses.

Accessories What you should know
Mattress Cover 130x200 cm There’s a wide selection. You’ll often have no trouble finding the right edition here.
Mattress Topper 130x200 cm A 120 x 200 cm topper or a 140 x 200 cm topper are easier to find, but they either don’t cover enough or cover too much.
Fitted Sheet 130x200 cm Narrow fitted sheets measuring 120x200 cm should be stretchy enough. Larger sheets measuring 140x200 cm should also be stretchy enough; however, as they are a ‘range’ size suitable for both 140x200 and 160x200 cm mattresses, they are usually too large.

High-quality cold foam mattresses measuring 130×200 cm are characterised by their adaptability, durability and thermal insulation. But what about the BODYGUARD® mattress? Its core consists of QXSchaum®, a foam that is both sturdy and flexible – an open-cell foam specially developed for mattresses. It promotes good air circulation, thereby ensuring the rapid wicking away of moisture.

When it comes to mattresses, H2 stands for a soft firmness level, whilst H3 stands for medium firm. Medium-firm mattresses are often recommended for people weighing between approximately 80 and 120 kg. H3 is the most popular firmness level in Germany and is also frequently chosen outside of this recommendation. Generally speaking, you cannot judge comfort solely by the firmness level. Rather, it depends on how you prefer to lie. Your spine should be optimally supported regardless of the firmness level: the BODYGUARD® mattress (130×200 cm) supports and relieves pressure on your body with the help of ergonomic modules. It also gives you the choice between two levels of firmness: one side is firmer and the other is softer.
