More Than a Traditional Running Event

Since the anniversary edition in 2026, we have been one of the main sponsors of the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON and are thus part of one of Germany’s most traditional running events. Since 1981, the race has been a fixture in Berlin’s sporting calendar, and it has long since become much more than just a race. It gets the whole city moving.

Berlin Becomes a Running Route

For the 45th edition on 29 March 2026, 42,563 runners from 134 nations took to the starting line – more than ever before. The route runs right through the heart of Berlin: from the start on Straße des 17. Juni, via Ernst-Reuter-Platz and Charlottenburg Palace, along Kurfürstendamm, through Potsdamer Platz and Alexanderplatz, to the finish line at the Brandenburg Gate. Around 40 bands play along the route, with entire neighbourhoods lining the streets to cheer on the runners. This weekend, Berlin itself becomes a running route, and half the city is out and about.

This partnership is a perfect fit for us: sleep and recovery form the basis of all sporting performance, and that is precisely what we stand for with our products every day. As well as being the main sponsor, we also support the Bambini Run presented by ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg, so that even the youngest children can discover the joy of exercise from an early age.
