bett1.de × LTTC – Together We’re Making Tennis Happen
Tennis thrives on movement. On enthusiasm. And, above all, on people who can experience this sport from a young age. That is why bett1.de, together with the LTTC Rot-Weiß Berlin, is committed to promoting tennis in the capital – from the very first rally to top-level international tennis. Since its foundation in 1897, the LTTC Rot-Weiß has been one of Berlin’s most historic tennis clubs and can now look back on more than 125 years of tennis history. Today, the partnership with bett1.de combines this tradition with the promotion of the next generation of tennis players.
Tennis for Children and Young People
A key focus of the partnership is the bett1 tennis camps held at the LTTC Rot-Weiß grounds.
In 2026 alone, nine holiday camps are on offer: one winter camp, two Easter camps and six summer camps. The programme is aimed at children and young people, covering a large part of Berlin’s school holidays.
The regular bett1 tennis camps are open to children and young people aged between 5 and 16. For the youngest children, there are also half-day programmes for 4- to 8-year-olds. Ambitious competitive players aged between 11 and 16 can take part in special bett1 high-performance tennis camps.
A standard camp includes up to 5 hours of tennis training each day – in the morning from 9.30 am to 12.00 pm and in the afternoon from 1.00 pm to 3.30 pm. An additional hour of one-to-one training can be booked as an option.
This means that bett1.de’s involvement with the LTTC goes beyond simply having a logo on the sidelines. The partnership begins where the future of the sport is shaped: with children, teenagers and young players on the tennis court.
From Young Talent to World Class
At the same time, the LTTC Rot-Weiß complex is a venue for top-class international tennis. From 2021 to 2023, bett1.de was the main and title sponsor of the Berlin WTA grass-court tournament, which was held during this period as the bett1 Open. Since 2024, bett1.de has continued its involvement as a premium partner. This brings together different levels of tennis in one place: children gain their first experiences at the bett1 tennis camps, ambitious young players train with a focus on performance – and just a few metres away, some of the world’s best female tennis players compete at the Steffi Graf Stadium.
Tennis Should Reach as Many People as Possible
The partnership with the LTTC is part of a wider commitment to tennis by bett1.de.
With the ‘Tennis macht Schule’ initiative, bett1.de launched a project back in 2021, in collaboration with former Davis Cup player Markus Zoecke, to bring tennis directly to children. At the start, 200 primary schools in Berlin and Brandenburg took part.
Each participating school receives a comprehensive range of equipment: 12 tennis rackets, 4 mini-courts including nets, and 200 tennis balls, as well as other materials. Based on these figures alone, for 200 schools this amounts to up to 2,400 rackets, 800 mini-courts and 40,000 tennis balls.
This creates a link from school sport through club and junior tennis right up to international professional sport.
200 schools. Thousands of rackets. Tens of thousands of tennis balls. Nine holiday camps in 2026 alone. And world-class tennis on the same site.
The shared aim behind this is simple: to get more people excited about tennis and exercise.
bett1.de and LTTC Rot-Weiß Berlin – working together for the next generation of tennis.
European champion at the age of 16! What a achievement, Milena!
Milena Steinkamp has triumphed at the U16 European Tennis Championships and brought the title back to Berlin. An extraordinary achievement for the 16-year-old Berliner – and the biggest milestone yet in her still-young tennis career. Milena has been playing tennis at LTTC Rot-Weiß in Berlin-Grunewald since she was six. Since the age of nine, she has been coached there by Markus Hornig, who has continuously supported her sporting development ever since. Together, they have worked intensively on her game over many years and celebrated numerous successes.
Several Berlin youth championship titles, victory at the Berlin Women’s Championships and the German championship title were key milestones on her journey. And now comes her greatest success to date: Milena is the U16 European Champion! The fact that we at bett1.de are particularly delighted about this title also has to do with our long-standing connection to LTTC Rot-Weiß. For six years, we have been supporting the club’s youth development programme and, in doing so, young tennis talents on their sporting journey.
In the process, we have become increasingly aware of Milena’s remarkable development. Her talent, her ambition and her sporting achievements have convinced us to provide her with additional, personalised support since the start of this year and to help her take her next steps. Just a few months later, Milena is now celebrating her biggest title to date. Behind this success lie, above all, years of training, passion, ambition and personal achievement – but also people like Markus Hornig, who have been guiding and supporting her for many years.
🥇 Congratulations on winning the European Championship title, Milena! 🎾
We are delighted to be able to support you on your journey ahead – and can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.
